Webb really makes an attempt to teach the reader various definitions. He even takes it further to teach you the concepts of theoretical physics- which can be difficult to understand. You may end up reading an entire chapter over again. Overall, Webb does a fantastic job in conveying the complex concepts of today's physics.
Depict early 20th century China and the orthodox beliefs that the people had during their Civil war and the Japanese Invasion. Yan illustrates the horror of war as well as the great cultural transition occurring in China.
Seife describes "the most important discovery"- zero, and it's impact on the world today. He guides you through the sacrifice of many people through the ages, that paid with their lives to incorporate zero in the number system.
He makes you think what if zero was discovered much earlier or if it were incorporated in the number systems much faster, would we be a more advanced society?
