Finally got around to reading your book, Pat, and I have to say that I was very impressed. It was as good as I hoped. I had been looking for something to bide my time after the conclusion of Goodkind's Sword of Truth, and "The Name of the Wind" accomplished that perfectly. Looking forward to the next installments. I left a review on the bookshelf. Take care!
Hey, I see you've added Patricia McKillip's "In the forrests of serre". She's a great author. Her Riddle Master trilogy is one of my favorites of all time. Happy reading!
holy hell! 1600 books? i didn't even have the patience to add all the stephen king i've read. or the raymond feist. and as for r.a. salvatore...well, it embarrasses me to admit i've read so many of them. i hope you get to read all the books you want to read. i have some vonnegut if you want to borrow one.
I feel I ought to thank Orson Scott Card for introducing me to your books. I can't wait for your sequel to The Name of the Wind!
And I quite enjoy your reviews as well :)
Hello, Pat:
I think we're in a bit of a friendly race for position on the first board of reader leaders! I like your choice of books, from what I've seen, especially Orwell's 1984 (Orwell and his talent for the truth have scared and amazed me for decades; he died when he was only 49, back in 1950.All too soon) I hope you've read his essays as well, and some of the other novels-Coming Up For Air is hysterically and grimly funny (If you've read them, I apologize for not having read your list closely enough; as I've said, your list is terrific)

A fun book for anyone who knows the discworld universe. Funny and touching...
Nice graphic novel collection of four short stories. All in the horror/suspense genre, they had a vaguely Lovecraftian feel to them.
Really interesting book. It was the first book he ever wrote, but wasn't published until long after his death. You can see the seeds of many of his later stories in this work, as well as some interesting economic theories.
Such a cool picture book. Suitable for adults and children alike...
Gaiman does such a brillian job reading his own stuff. So few authors can pull that off. This audio book is no exception.
