The Stand
Stephen KingProbably my favourite book. I've read it twice and I'm sure I'll read it again in my life a couple more times. Even though it's probably the thickest book I've read, it keeps incredible pace. Stephen King can nail any personality and you can't help but wonder what you would do in these situations. This is the ultimate book of good vs. evil.

The Shack
William P YoungI enjoyed the book and was moved by the story of the main character and I thought the ideas presented about the holy trinity were really interesting. I don't necessarily buy it the way the author presented it, but I understand that he was telling us how to have a more personal relationship with God.

My Sister's Keeper: A Novel
Jodi Picoult, Picoult JodiI picked up this book so I could read it before I saw the movie and then the movie reviews came out and I haven't bothered to see it yet. Overall, I liked the book. I thought the twist at the end was brilliant. It was good and gut-wrenching, but I haven't thought about it much since reading it, which is a big part of how I rate books. If I don't continue thinking about the characters after the book is done, I don't find it affected me enought to give it a great ra ting.
