A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier
Ishmael BeahI am getting ready to teach/share this with my 9th grade students in an effort to open their eyes to the lives being fought for by young men and women, not unlike themselves, in another part of the world. I hope the strength and determination, as well as horror, that lives throughout this book will move them as much as it did me the first time I picked it up.
