Even the introduction is life altering. The book is about our relationship to all things through the exploration of music theory, rather than just a straight forward thory text. Definately not light reading, but that's the beauty of it. It keeps the mind working.

It is a wonderful thing to have faith. But how much better to have a faith that can be substantiated by reason. Blind faith is not a badge of valor but rather a mark of insanity. Lewis gives us the logic to help a Christian's faith be one of enlightenment rather than adherence to dogmatic traditions "just because".
