Lord of the Flies

How to Be Good
Nick HornbyI probably found this book more interesting than many people might-- that is, recently divorced, and some of my life I have been much like David (the husband). Still, it is an interesting essay on the topic, How to Be Good. No easy answers here, and though the book rambles, I believe that accurate portrays the reality that answers to that question do tend to be rambling... It's good to try to be good, but it isn't simple or easy to figure out how to actually do it.

A Thousand Splendid Suns
Khaled HosseiniAmazing story, made me cry in public. With the story of 2 women, and a few short historical references, brought alive the history ans struggles of the last 50 years in Afghanistan.
