Reviews I've Written

  • What the Dog Saw: And Other Adventures
    Malcolm Gladwell

Malcolm Gladwell is the JD Salinger of non-fiction. This is his 9 Stories. A future classic.

  • Free: The Future of a Radical Price
    Chris Anderson

While Anderson's thesis is quite brilliant, his writing style isn't. Reading more like a textbook than creative non-fiction, he's far from the wordsmith that someone like Malcolm Gladwell is. Still, he's definitely thorough, and clearly on the pulse of the latest technological changes...

  • SuperFreakonomics: Tales of Altruism, Terrorism...

Having really enjoyed Freakonomics, I was pretty excited to read the sequel. It didn't disappoint.

Smarter, better researched and less self-conscious than the original, SuperFreakonomics was considerably more thorough than I had anticipated. It's right up there with Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell for my favourite non-fiction of the year.
