Good read. Practical wisdom that resonates a lot with my understanding of Faithwalking.

This book's subtitle is "what traumatized children can teach us about loss, love, and healing. Congregations - society - is filled with traumatized people. As a pastor I had no formal training for dealing with the tsumani of pain that was increasingly present in my congregation in the form of adults who had been traumatized as children - divorce, abuse, neglect, abandonment. This was a very helpful and instructive read.

We wrote this book because most leadership training stuff that is out there is about techniques for managing the behavior of other people - and we all know how well that works. The Leaders Journey focusing on helping leaders learn to manage themselves in the mix of highly complex and rapdily changing relationships. It focuses on helping leaders close the gap between "knowing the right thing to do" and "begin able to actually do the right thing."
