Reviews I've Written

  • Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game
    Michael Lewis

The books shows you how you can rethink something that you thought you already understood quite well, and in so doing shows you that you can get increased value by having the courage to think outside the box.

  • Alexander Hamilton
    Ron Chernow

Those Founding Fathers were some messed up dudes. I mean, really. Nice to read that some things (the politics) haven't changed. A good book, but sometimes the tangents the author goes off on gives you the impression he was required by the publisher to write a book that was X pages long.

  • Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who ...
    Dava Sobel

An interesting and easy read - albeit sometimes repetitive - about a scientific challenge that was pursued by Galileo and Sir Isaac Newton and so important that the British parliament offered a prize of 20,000 pounds (the equivalent of millions of dollars today) with the Longitude Act of 1714.
