Ann CoulterOkay, Coulter lays it on a little thick. But if you can get past the harsh
words, she makes some great points on the exact history of Joe
McCarthy and the communist infiltration of our government for the past
60 years. As it turns out, McCarthy was correct about a lot of people,
as verified by the Venona Project. Great book to learn a little bit more of th
the story of a man who has been written off as evil by revisionist history.
Makes me want to do the original research myself. -

Lou DobbsGreat book! Makes you think about your positions no matter what party
claim. Lou is right, the war on the middle class is on, never more
relevant than now. Stimulus, health care, TARP...who is paying the bill?

Stand For Something: The Battle for America's Soul
John KasichWhile Kasich's theme is noteworthy, I think he should have taken a stand
against another self-aggrandizing book about character. It struck me as
just another former politician stuck on himself and his experience.
Kasich goes after easy populist targets: pro atheletes, media, education,
while offering no real ideas or practical fixes. I did find his
encouragement to get involved inspiring and his book did leave me feeling
hopeful at the end.
