Reviews I've Written

  • Liberty and Tyrany: A Conservative Manifesto
    Mark R. Levin

A very powerful book indeed! I've found from this book most if not all about the true meaning of Conservatism that i have been labouring to unearth!! In a way, the framework of conservatism that l learned has laid the foundation of my understanding of conservatism in Malaysia (at least to my own interpretation). A very powerful book indeed! I've found from this book most if not all about the true meaning of Conservatism that i have been labouring to unearth!! In a way, the framework of conservatism that l learned has laid the foundation of my understanding of conservatism in Malaysia (at least to my own interpretation). Though, the whole is on American conservatism but the basic tenets upon which American conservatism are based are equally relevant and forceful: To preserve and improve the society according to its customs, traditions and values.

But i must admit, i struggled to understand environmental issue from the American conservatism perspective. Generally, it is skeptical and even highly critical of all those trendy concepts like climate change etc.

Anway, apparently liberty, free market, religion, tradition, and authority are key words to my understanding of conservatism both of America and Malaysia. (show less)

  • The Downing Street Years
    Margaret Thatcher

She saved the Great Britain. Together with US's Ronald Reagan, not only they rolled back but actually defeated communism which at that point of time considered unstoppable.

A book not to be missed for those who still believe politics is about the battle of ideologies & principles, and not about media manipulation & spinning!

  • Somebody's Gotta Say It
    Neal Boortz

"Somebody's Gotta Say It", and if i may add, "loudly and clearly!" Bluntness and Righteousness are something patently missed in the modern world of spinning, where political correctness has emasculated truthfulness.
