I Am Legend
Richard Matheson***MODERATE SPOILER WARNING***
I'm not a vampire novel lover, but I really liked this book! I was not surprised to see that there was a difference between the book and the movie, but I thought they were both good in their own respects.

I have to give it to Matheson, I think he had me from about page one, because you can feel pity for Robert, and you can see how he would feel. I loved the progression of emotions as he went from an emotional wreck three months after the outbreak to a hermit who wanted to understand the actual cause/effect nature of the virus. Looking at the science in it, it's a tad sketchy, but it also has many more elements of truth that add to the intrigue.
Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone, be them vampire novel lovers, or just people who want a good quality read. 4.5/5 (show less)

To Own a Dragon: Reflections On Growing Up With...
Donald MillerThis was an interesting book, but had very little in the way of scriptural backup. It's a book about the unknown. Read it knowing that.

Night
Elie WieselWow. This was a powerful book. Read this while knowing that it is real, not a sick story.
