  • Pink Slip
    Rita Ciresi

This book is billed on the front cover as "hilarious". Although there are some great one-liners and enjoyable conversations (especially between Lisa and her cousin/BFF Dodie), this book is FAR from hilarious. With such drawn out tales about subjects like abortion, the holocaust, AIDS, sexual harrassment, death, brain tumors, marital rape, breakups, etc etc...how can this be funny? Also, how many times does lightening have to strike one person? Really, I can't believe Lisa hasnt ... (show more)

Also, how many times does lightening have to strike one person? Really, I can't believe Lisa hasnt committed suicide already with all the depressing things that have happened in her life. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for a whole helluva lot of melodrama. (show less)

  • I Do (But I Don't)
    Cara Lockwood

I fell in love with Nick...who wouldnt? He's the hott Fire Fighter of every girl's dreams. Only problem, this book was very predictable. And the references to her hair was driving me crazy...it was brought up way too often. I do have to say, the debacle of the wedding at the end and her drunken tirade was hilarious. I enjoyed that part!

  • Confessions of a Shopaholic
    Sophie Kinsella

The lead character is so addictive. I'm looking forward to readng the rest of the "Shopaholic" series in between other books when I feel I need an easy, relaxing, funny read.
