When I got this book, I was surprised by how short it was but then I figure Hamilton needed a bit of a break after her last endeavor. I was pleased to find out more about Micah as his past was such a mystery. The novel begins with a phone call in the middle of the night, and Anita must fly to Philadelphia to cover for Larry whose wife maybe in premature labor. I was pleased to find out more about Micah as his past was such a mystery. The novel begins with a phone call in the middle of the night, and Anita must fly to Philadelphia to cover for Larry whose wife maybe in premature labor. Anita knows little about this case or the feds that are working it and everything seems to be so strange. From the lawyers, to the zombie to the "sensitive" feds. Nothing is going as planned, and Anita must figure out a way to survive the zombie as well as her fear of a relationship with Micah. I'm so glad those two finally get the alone time they so desperately needed. (show less)

This would have to be one of the worst books I have ever read. We attempted this one for our murder/suspense month in book club. I wish we hadn't. The writing was atrocious, the plot was even worse and who ends a book with "Papa bear meet baby bear." I mean c'mon....are you serious? I seriously could not take anything form this author serious.
