Reviews I've Written

  • Empire Falls
    Richard Russo

This book was terrifying and wonderful, ironic, smart, and most of all hilarious. If you read this book and are from a small town, don't say I didn't warn you, because the truth can be painful. I can't wait to see the HBO mini-series.

  • The Lecturer's Tale: A Novel
    James Hynes

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As I plan to begin my Ph.D. program in Literature next fall, I'm a little worried....he he he.

  • Planet Narnia: The Seven Heavens in the Imagina...
    Michael Ward

I took a class on Lewis with Mr. Ward at Oxford during the summer of 2003. He was an exciting teacher and someone who inspired me to further my studies on Lewis' work. In fact, he even gave my class a tour of Lewis' home. I can't wait to read this book.
