Reviews I've Written

  • The Kite Runner
    Khaled Hosseini

An amazing book. Well written, but very sad story. A must read!

  • No Longer at Ease
    Chinua Achebe

Actually, this book is the continuation of Things Fall Apart, it deals with post colonial Africa. So, I recommend reading it after TFA. Great book!

  • Unbowed: A Memoir (Vintage)
    Wangari Maathai

Unbowed is a great book, and Wangari is a great activist who doesn't take no for answer. It's so sad that ethnic divisions still constitute an obstacle to peace in many parts of the world. She does a good job in connecting environmental issues with politics and other important social issues such as women's empowerement. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand what's going in Kenya and other countries those days.
