Reviews I've Written

  • The Rolling Stones' Exile on Main St. (33 1/3)
    Bill Janovitz

mad chaos, the making of an epic album that the artists themselves don't think is so special. very very detailed account. you've gotta be a stones die hard and love this record to enjoy ... and even then it's a little tedious. but pluck out the gems and it's worth it.

  • How We Decide
    Jonah Lehrer

i am enjoying this book. he writes in a gladwell-esque style and seamlessly weaves in the science. very accessible and illuminating.

  • Relevance: Making Stuff That Matters
    Tim Manners

stating the obvious for sure, yet interesting nonetheless. he hawks this title relentlessly in his "cool news of the day" newsletter. and it worked on me! what was valuable to me were the specific examples of how various companies solved (or created) problems with their approach to marketing.
