Harry TurtledoveI think Harry Turtledove works best when he's dealing with historical fiction. The more farfetched his plot ideas get, the more static and less interesting his characters get. No one can make sci-fi into a documentary likeTurtedove.

Chuck PalahniukRead this book only if you have a strong stomach and a thick skin. The stories are interesting, but they pushed my boundaries outrside my comfort one. The story-between-the-stories was more interesting than the stories themselves,and far more disturbing.

Richard MathesonLoved it, and the way the backstory was revealed as the now-story unfolded. The short stories were fun too, and inspiring.
