White Jazz: A Novel
James EllroyI'm pleased I made it through this one. I found it very hard to get into, and in fact abandoned it before, but made it this time.
Not having read much else by Ellroy, I gather this is approximately his standard fare. I'm going to try LA Confidential next and see if that's true.
Oh, and having seen the film of LA Confidential helps with keeping the characters straight in your head, as White Jazz is set some years afterwards.

Alexander MastersStrangely compelling, read it in a couple of days. A very interesting insight into a group of people most never think about, and as such, recommended to all.
