I really enjoyed this series, as I do with all Terry Brook's book. It was really great to finally see what happened before the world of Shannara came into existence.
I really hope that Terry Brooks is going to continue and take us on the journey that leads up to the Sword of Shannara time. There is still so much history of this great world to learn.

This book took a bit to get through. The history behind what the Zabinski's did was amazing. I would like the think that I would have that much courage. The challenge in reading this book is that I felt like I was back in school reading a history book, this I was not expecting when I started reading. I found even as a history book, it was choppy reading. I didn't find that it flowed for me.
