Reviews I've Written

  • Midnight Runner
    Jack Higgins

Sean Dillon at his best: lots of witty banter and (more importantly) lots of ass-kicking. There's even a bit of "Dillon, master of disguise" thing that I've missed from the earlier books.

  • Chosen Prey
    John Sandford

Pros: Excellent story-telling. Events unfold and new details appear at (mostly) just the right pace to keep the story interesting. Funny dialogue.
Cons: Easily-forgettable main protagonist. The only likable character is the main protagonist's fiance. Climax was a bit of a downer.

  • Sacred
    Dennis Lehane

Very good story-telling. I enjoyed the witticisms and the plot twists, even though the characters (even the protagonists) are as despicable as hell.
