Reviews I've Written

  • I Am Legend
    Richard Matheson

I saw the movie before I realized it was adapted from a book, and that the book has been made into more than one movie. Though a bit dated, I loved the "scientific" approach to "vampirism," as well as its genuine moments of fright. More than anything, I loved the Crusoe-like evolution of Neville's character as a man adapting to loneliness and self-sufficiency. I'm a bit disappointed that it ended so abruptly, but was pleased with the Bradbury-esque short stories that follow.

  • Mere Christianity
    C. S. Lewis

Christianity is a complicated religion, and C. S. Lewis does a superb job in clearly presenting it by appealing to reason and analogy. I highly recommend this book to anyone curious about the basic principles of Christianity and to adamant atheists who may soon reconsider their arguments.
