Reviews I've Written

  • The Glass Castle: A Memoir
    Jeannette Walls

So good! The American girls version of Angela's Ashes except the dad sticks around. The writing is plain and simple, her tone frogiving, but nonetheless blunt and honest about her upbringing.

  • Traveling Mercies: Some Thoughts on Faith
    Anne Lamott

This was my first book by Anne. It was good and made me want to buy her other books. Her stories are engaging, easy to read and witty. She's got some good spiritual insight as well. The only draw back is her stories sometimes feel rushed, like the ending comes out of no where.

  • Teacher Man: A Memoir
    Frank McCourt

I want to be a teacher). His stories are filled with his failures and how he tried his best to trach but just ended up telling about his poor childhood in Ireland. His kids loves him and he fills all his classes. He must've been doing something right...A must read- for teachers or anyone who wants a funny, person... (show more)
