Reviews I've Written

  • The Toss of a Lemon
    Padma Viswanathan

This book was all right, but definitely dragged in some places. I never really felt that the struggles of the central Brahmin family (as far as their caste consciousness was concerned) were resolved, and the conflict between the son and the mother at the end was obtuse. I finished it, but I also nearly abandoned it a few times. I wouldn't really recommend it.

  • Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journe...
    Hunter S. Thompson

I must admit I didn't really care for this book - all it was was two druggies joyriding around Vegas for a weekend. It wasn't very interesting to me at all.

  • World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War
    Max Brooks

This was an absolutely wonderful book! I sped through it in two days, and I have just been blown away by the amount of effort he must have put into writing this book. I loved it, and I can honestly say that I'd consider it a favorite now.
