She covers some difficult issues and describes a feminist critique and alternative way of doing things. Each chapter is an essay on topics such as work, conceptions of beauty, sexuality, parenting, marriage, violence, and even what feminist masculinity might look like.
She makes it clear that feminism, at its core, is not anti-male but rather anti-sexism. It's just as possible for women to be stuck in sexist ways of thinking as males.
