The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Stephen ChboskyThis is one of my favourite books. It is simple yet elegant, as it unwinds a tale of youth and the struggles which are encompassed in that time-period of a person's life. It's a developmental book in which the main character experiences the tribulations of simple existence. The story is effectively told through a series of letters to (you) the anonymous reader. Perhaps it was the age at which I read this, but it really does mean quite a lot to me.

Nick BantockBantock once again uses Jungian theme and the normal human appeal for specific kinds of voyeurism. The book is once again strong in artistic appeal as well as following the already constructed romantic tale. Some may read for the European-styled artwork, others for the story, and still others for the feeling of peering into someone else's private mail. Bantock's "Griffin and Sabine" stories are certain to please many a reader.
