Snow and My name is Red are much more fascinating. Stopped reading Istanbul at its 7th chapter. Have been to Istanbul several times and LOVE that city. But details Pamuk are describing are sometimes so boring, beautiful though, that you can fall asleep over the book.

Being rather difficult book to read, it needs your very light mood to be able to finish it. If you are tired, bored, have problems, your head if full with everyday problems, etc. - take something lighter, not Istanbul. If you have lots of free time and are ready for smallest details of Istanbul streets, smels, boats, people, lights, Bosphorus - then go ahead. This book IS worth reading, it just needs a special mood for it. Pamuk is great writer.

So very deep. As all they wrote. Masterpiece.

Scary, amazing, stunning, so true, so real and so awesome.

The best book I have ever read in my life. Utter defeat of fake and empty Christian "morality". Supported by facts and absolutely logical observations and comments.

These books are not as simple as they might look like. These are not just fairy tales. They are great. Just read them. All three.

Simak's short storied.. Each and every of them are masterpieces. A short story with whole world inside it. Couple of sentences which contain everything. He is not just a perfect writer - he is a great philosopher.
