The Autobiography of Malcolm X : As Told to Alex Haley
If there was any one man who articulated the anger, the struggle, and the beliefs of African Americans in the 1960s, that man was Malxolm X. His AUTOBIOGRAPHY is now an established classic of modern America, a book that expresses like none other the crucial truth about our times.
"Extraordinary. A brilliant, painful, important book."

Someone said, in a review, that it was one of the most influential books of her life.
I say the same for me. I could not put this book down, and all the ignorant perceptions I had of Malcolm X were utterly destroyed. His transformation from (esentially) an orphan, to a hustler, to a prisoner, to a racist, and, finally, to a humble, respectful, and self-analytical man was fascinating and empowering. I recommend it to everyone.

This book should be a must read for everyone. The insight that one gains into the mind of Minister Malcolm is wonderful. To witness his change from street hood, to prisoner, to NOI member, to his separation of the NOI. This book is amazing! Read it!
