This is a great book to have in one's possession. The book mostly stems out of Shepherding a Child's Heart by Tedd Tripp. I appreciate the motherly advice and the Christ centerdness that Plowman has taken. I find the book very encouraging to me as a mom. While I personally do some things differently, I generally agree with most of what she says.Well,she is practical, funny and clear.

I would recommend it to mothers out there who are concerned about the hearts of their children their relationship with God and view of sin. ..The more you prayerfully read it the more you understand the magnitude and consequence of letting disobedience and lack of Godly guidance and instruction rule your child's life. Love the Scripture references for behavior issues and her belief that these words are the ones that will get to the heart of your child's issue. Love the practical tips to go back and rehearse how they should have handled a situation - I already see this helping my son correct himself quickly when I tell him no. I like all the ground rules for spanking, but still do not agree that this is the only way to discipline your child when they misbehave on purpose. I believe other consequences can... (show more)
