Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum debuted in Janet Evanovich's award-winning One for the Money. Here, she's back, packing a whole lot of attitude -- not to mention stun guns, defense sprays, and a .38 Smith & Wesson. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a l... (show more)

I know I sound like a prude but there was too much sex or rather the sex scene was ridiculous and unbelievable. Took away from the story. Grandma Maser is worth getting to know though.
I think I've found a new series to enjoy! This was not your typical murder mystery. I made a guess as to whodunnit at the beginning of the book, and I was wrong! That rarely happens when I read mysteries. I was trying to read too much into it. The structure of the book was more on making the capture, than figuring out who murdered whom. The ending was straightforward, but in no way predictable.
I find I like the Stephanie Plum character more and more. Even Joe Morelli is growing on me, though I wouldn't be sad if he was killed off in one of the next few books. I really like Grandma Mazur. She is a real hoot, and I would not be surprised if she becomes more of a partner to Stephanie in the later books. I look forward to the next book in the series (thank goodness they're numbered in the title for me), and hope they don't grow stale later in the series.
Good mind candy, though I found this one a little bit monotonous compared to the first one. Grandma is still a hoot, but it needed more Ranger! Fun and fluffy.
These books make me laugh out loud! Her characters are so alive. I have a visual of each of them and what they should look like. My favorites by far!
Stephanie always puts a grin on my face and a flutter in my tummy (romance). And her grandmother is a stich.
another fun book looking at the misadventures of a female bounty hunter. looking foreward to finishing the next book in the by the numbers series, three to get deadly
Mindless drivel and predictable plot, but fun.
Oversexed and overviolenced few redeeming social values.
These books are so funny - truly "laugh out loud" and make people look at you funny because you're laughing so hard.
Plus I love a good mystery, so these are doubly great books!
This is the second book I have read in the series and I enjoyed it more than the first since I have been able to get to know the characters a little bit better.
Well I gave in and finally decided to finsh ready the thing.. I laughed a little, but not as much as I did with the first one. The third one will have to wait, as I've just started to read "Lovely Bones", which I've only started and I'm already loving it.
