This book surprised me. I picked it up at someone's house, read a couple of pages and absconded with it! I connected with this book--well, I can't give it away! This is the only N. Sparks book I have read, and I think that if you are a parent you will also connect with this book for 2 reasons: 1. because it is a fast and super easy read--you can definitely multitask and supervise children while simultaneously reading this and 2. because you are a PARENT! That's about all I can divulge without blowing it! I am sure my husband --who is absolutely head over heels in love with his daughter-- would have a very positive reaction to this book, but there is probably no way I could coax him to read a Nicholas Sparks novel! It would be like getting him to watch HGTV while listening to Barbara Streisand.
Someone really special told me this story which encouraged me to read it ... the narrator was much better then reading ..
Overall I was not impressed by this book I felt it was too predictable but I did cry at the end. The beginning caught my attention but I felt the chapters in between the first and last were lacking.
all of his books are very beautiful,so i dont have a special one yet...but i liked this one,was my first book i read from this author, really nice story
This was a Christmas gift from a friend, once I picked it up it was hard to put down. An easy read. In the end I wanted to know more...
It was a really good sequel to the True Believer. But again, very heart jerking, and you will cry! But I loved it, as I love all his books~!
This was the follow up to True Believer, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. It definitely brought on the tears with a surprise ending....
I have read most of his novels and this is my least favorite. To me it almost seemed as if he was running out of ideas for how to end the story so he thought of something absurd. The book essentially leads you up a mountain and drops you off a cliff. I don't recommend it.
What a Beautiful sequel to a wonderful story! The end made me cry tears!! Sparks definitely knows how to make a girl's heart swell!!
A lovely novel about trust and commitment to your loved ones. Though things may not turn out the way it should be, there are always rewarding moments in life which one should learn to appreciate. The ending wasn't a happy one, but the story journey was amazing. Before I realised it, I was reading the last few pages of the book through my teary eyes. Must read for Sparks's book lovers.
