Quote-leftI understand movies have to be different than books and I am a Matt Damon fan but the movie series ruined this trillogy for me. I still like it but it's no longer my favorite. Maybe I need to re-read the books (agan) to fall back in love.Quote-right

Quote-leftGreat book - too bad grad school made me put it down halfway through. Looking forward to the third installment. The action was intense and I thought the background story, while highly improbable, was well built for fiction. This series has been everything BUT disappointing.

I also don't understand why Matt Damon is on the cover, other than to sell the book. This story has virtually NOTHING to do with the movie. In fact, having watched this movie the other day, I'm not sure how they got that story out of this book. So, if you've seen all the movies, don't worry, you won't spoil the endings to the books.Quote-right

Quote-leftA great sequel to Bourne Identity. Why bother putting Damon on the cover though? The plot has nothing in common with the movie. Except Bourne himself. Ah, marketing.Quote-right

Quote-leftAwesome read. Thrilling narration, really good book. Ludlum definitely makes the character (David Webb aka. Jason Bourne) alive with a well-written narration.Quote-right

Quote-leftWhat can I say...I was not as impressed as I was with this one as I was with the author's first "Bourne" novel. In my opinion, this one was slower moving, more drawn out, and more, I don't know, just plain messy. I was not impressed with "why" they did what they did, and it seems like just telling Marie what was up and asking her to play along would have been a good start. Other than the pace being slow throughout most of the book, it was also pretty wordy. I read this one right after I finished my first Bourne novel, and now I need to take a break. That has not ever happened to me before...needing to stop a canonized series because I've had too much of the characters, and I've read all seven Hairy Potter books back to back to back...you get the idea.

On the plus side, when this novel went into violent mode, it went there. The escape/jungle scene was nice; The clean-house assault was bad-ass; The fist-fights were described well. I guess that the book made up for some faults with these great parts, but I'd rather have had more (hate to say it) movie Bourne in this one than book Bourne.Quote-right

Quote-leftNot a bad read - watching Bourne do his spy thing continues to be pretty fun to "watch". But the plot isn't as compelling (or as well told) as in Identity, and the sub-plots (particularly Marie's) feel like they're dragged out as long as Ludlum could milk them.

If you liked Identity, give it a go.Quote-right

Quote-leftThis book took all the pleasure out of reading.

About 500 pages too long, this book took me forever to read - and I am the kind of person that whizzes through one thing after another.

Very disappointing, boring drawn out dialogue. It's totally cheated me out of having any enthusiasm for reading the third installment.. Stick with the films.Quote-right

Quote-leftThe movie drifts father yet from the book but who cares. The 2nd is easily as good as the 1st, so, quite excellent.Quote-right

Quote-leftHmmm, a good read, faster paced than the first one but the last two chapters was horribly predictable...Quote-right
