I don't normally read this kind of book but someone suggested it. I found it really fun and entertaining.
I trouble with this one...I found myself bored after awhile. But I had to finish it. I don't know if I will read the other ones in the series...
The back blurb got me: My boss is Vayl, born in Romania 1744. Died there, too...For the moment Vayl works for the CIA doing what he does best - assassinating people. And I help.
It's a story of a vampire hunter turned CIA agent working for a vampire to assassinate enemies of the state - and destroying several cars in the process and using high-tech cool gadgets - all Bond-like. I'll read the rest of the series - not sure if I'll buy them or borrow them yet...
A guilty pleasure kind of book. Trite and (at times) poorly written, but enjoyable as a quick weekend read.
Standard CIA assassin/Vampire assassin plot. Nothing too impressive. Read it in two afternoons at the pool.
It was like reading an action movie spiced with some drama, not bad though and quite refreshing for a change. Like the hints of secrets that promise more adventures in sequels.
A kick ass heroine...A 300-year-old vampire...
What else do you need?!
This is a great read. The action, the romance and the lovely (yet strange, sarcastic and funny) narration from Jaz's point of view is fabulous.
You'll hold your breath the whole time. There are 101 surprises and when you think you got it the story takes a whole new twist. Thrill packed romance on high-speed ride A BURST OF ADRENALINE!
The love child of Ghostbusters and Interview with a Vampire. The narrators voice is compelling and very realistic!
I enjoyed it. I think overall you could tell that it was the first in a series and I am definitely going to read the next one. I thought it had some kinks in it though. She moved from working with Vayl to loving him pretty quick. I also think she accepted some things too easily.
