Between Sundays

I loved this book. You don't have to be a football fan to like this book but it sure made it that much more wonderful.
This is one of my favorite Karen Kingsbury books. What a lesson to learn about how we need to live our lives continuously for God - Between Sundays!
I loved this book! I usually avoid Christian fiction (that's terrible I know...) only because it's usually really sappy and not too much like real life... this book was wonderful! I will be reading more of Karen Kingsbury. I actually was passed this book from Tammy and have sent it on to my mom.
Sbows us there is a cost to fame and that it is more than just lost of ones privacy. But one can overcome if their priiorities are in place.
Incredibly predictable, made me want to throw up a little bit. Thus it took me a while to finish. Something not quite so sugary sweet from her would be nice because I like her messages.
This was an OK book. Kind of predictable. It helped me to understand the world of football and foster care better though.
I thought it was good. I liked that the story was taken mostly from a male character. It seemed predictible but not so much that you couldn't enjoy it. There were times it seemed like a soap opera where it was the same situation or conversation over and over. On the otherhand, I did like the fact that when faced with the truth of where his life was at, it still took him a little bit before he was ready to make a decision.
LOVED this one; the story is a believable one, and Kingsbury does a great job of educating me in the cause of foster children...
Awesome!!!!Awesome!!!!Awesome!!! And did I say Awesome!!!! A true picture of God's never ending love for us and a true picture of what friendship established by God can become.
I read this for book club. Not something that I would normally pick up, but I read the whole thing in 24 hours (because I had procrastinated). I am thankful for the book's focus on the foster care system, and Karen is definitely gifted in writing characters that you want to care about, but I had problems with much of it.
When the outcome of the Super Bowl season depends on one man's salvation...sigh...
Oh, Christian fiction...
