I havbe just finished reading "True Believer" and I must admit that after the first couple chapters I had pretty much decided that I wouldn't finish it as I am not interested in "ghostly apparitions" etc. I forced myself to keep reading and the book just kept getting better. At times I was disappointed and then it would pick up and the ending was worth it all. I would recommend it highly, and I am happy that I stuck with it.
the ending proves that everything really does happen for a reason. A man with pieces missing from his life from his shattered marriage with his ex-wife finds his true self within the another women, leaving his past life behind for a humble life with the one that he loves. Predictable, but definetely enlightening.
Another one of Nicholas Sparks' stories that I didn't quite enjoy as some of his others, but again, still sweet.
A little sappy and has the predictable Sparks ending, but I loved it anyway. I'll read the next one in this saga to find out what happens to the characters next.
kind of weak for nicholas sparks...not his greatest...i was easily bored with this book and wanted to throw in the towel!
Finished this one pretty fast. Although it wasn't my all time favorite of Sparks' books, it was a nice easy read. I guess you could say there's a surprise ending.
I liked this book a lot... it took a while for me to get really into it, but once i did i couldn't put it down. The banter that happens between the two main charactors had me laughing and gushing at how they fell for each other. great book overall.
I agree that it was a bit boring in the beginning. It took me three attempts before I finally go through it. Once I did, I really enjoyed it. Would be a good made for TV movie, but definitely won't make it to the silver screen like some of his others.
Ummm I thought it was quite boring for the first few chapters. I had to keep forcing myself to read it, but then it finally got interesting.
Proves that love can work in "mysterious" ways. I will admit this book takes a bit to really hook you, but once your hooked its hard to put down. Sparks' doesn't disappoint.
