"Special Circumstances":
The words have sent chills down Tally's spine since her days as a repellent, rebellious ugly. Back then Specials were a sinister rumor -- frighteningly beautiful, dangerously strong, breathtakingly fast. Ordinary pretties might live their whole lives without meeting a Special. But Tally's never been ordinary.
And now she's been turned into one of them: a superamped fighting machine, engineered to keep the uglies down and the pretties stupid.

The final book of the Uglies trilogy finds Tally as a member of the Cutters--the most special of Special Circumstances. Zan's not with her--he's living it up in New Pretty Town and Tally feels a bit out of place. She loves the new feeling of being icy--but without Zane it's just not the same. The only problem is that Zane is still not the same--he's trembly and just weak. Shay develops a plan to aid Zane's escape, but the result is something bigger than the two could ever imagine. Have Sahy and Tally really ended the world?
This book had a lot more action than the previous two, but I didn't like it as much as the others. I was very excited to read this one, but it just didn't do as much for me as I'd hoped. The ending was quite satisfactory, which is good. But overall, it was a little bit of a disappointment.
I loved this trilogy but I was so unhappy when they killed off my favorite character that I didn't finish it...
An impressive ending to a great series. Somehow the author manages to even out the plot with an actual message, and doesn't come off as preachy. Best so far.
omg i cried for like and hour after i read that one part that was rly sad ( i dont wanna give anything away). this book ket me reading for a long time ( i finished in like 4 hours, i coulcnt put it down) i just needed to know what was gunna happen. and then it ended and it left you hanging a little. but a very very very good book in a very very very good series
Worst ending ever. Westerfeld had a good thing going and tried to force propaganda and a twisted depth of meaning into a story that just wanted to be a heartfelt and adventurous bildungsroman.
i gave up on this series, didn't read 'extras'. i didn't care for 'specials' either. only the first 2 books were alright.
My favorite of the Uglies/Pretties/Specials trilogy!Awesome and amazing.Everyone should read this series.
At first I was a little upset with the ending but after rereading it (I always reread endings) I was very satisfied with it, there was really only one way Westerfeld could have gone w/ the ending and this was it.
While I predicted that Tally would become a Special just based on the titles alone (while I was reading Pretties), this book threw enough twists in it to still keep me entertained. These were great books & I spent an enjoyable weekend with them. Unique concept & well executed.
Tally Youngblood is fierce in thsi book. Specials are the scary people and yet she makes it completely cool lol The choice she has to make with either being normal or a super fast special is a hard one. The loss of a love and no real home makes her a perfect candidate to become lost in the craziness.
