Amazing. I really couldn't put it down, and the fact that it is non-fiction just makes it all the more fantastic.

Great book - written to laugh out loud and then realise what an awful time she had as a child - or did she? Certainly made her the person she is today!

I could not put this down. It astounds me how some people live, yet manage to thrive. Jeanette's family and their personalities came alive...and it was rather unnerving at how many of her mother's statements I agreed with!

Pretty interesting insights into what actually holds a family together. If you have preconceived ideas about homeless people, this book might challenge them.

Well written and hard to put down. It delves into what happens when two bright and apparently undiagnosed bipolar individuals decide to raise kids . . .

This is a great book! An insipiring way to teach us all, no matter what we are faced with in life we have the oppurtunity to achieve all our goals.
The strength of the characters in The Glass Castle is amazing. Stop complaining about your life and read this book!

I highly recommend this book. It tells the story of a less than ideal childhood but instead of being sinister and sad as it could have been, it's really captivating, inspiring and intriguing.
