pretty good. it took a while to get going. i was really bored for like the first 50 pages. but after it got going some it was really awesome. sarah dessen always make me want to cry. especially this one cause it didn't work out quite like i wanted and/or expected. all of her books always make me contemplate my life and stuff. i really have not read a single book by her that i have eventually LOVED!
I think it is an awesome portrayal of what happens when family and everyone you have known is suddenly shaken and how all we have left sometimes are the happy memories of the past.
This was a quick read, not one of Sarah Dessen's best, but a fun read all the same. Dessen really showed how things aren't always as wonderful as the appear/ed.
It was dry in the beginning and it didn't make sense.
I thought Sumner and Haven were going to have a relationship but it turned out way different from what I expected. At the end it got way better and everything started to make way more sense. But it wasn't the best Sarah Dessen has done.
My least favorite Sarah Dessen book. It's still good, it just doesn't have that undefinable thing that other Sarah Dessen books have.
Not my favorite Dessen novel, but is WAS her first, so I'll cut her some slack:) I think she hits her stride later on. This wasn't bad, still readable, but I feel some of her other novels are more engaging.
I loved it. It was short, which kind of sucked. But I really loved it. Especially that Haven and Ashley ended on good terms. Haven amused me, and I'm glad she ended up finding out the truth about Sumner. I also liked toward the end when she finds Gwendolyn and they like, connect I guess? I don't know. It was just a good book compared to what some other people I know have said of it's quality. :)
This book was one of my least favorite Sarah Dessen books, but it was still, of course, amazing. There is so much going on in Haven's life, and it's got to be a lot to handle. I'm glad in the end, she has someone to help her make it through.
I have to admit that it is more reallistic than some of her other books but it was really boring then got slightly better at the end...
Another amazing 5 star novel form Sarah.
It has a slow start but about half way through I couldn't put it down.
