The build up of the book is a real page turner...and the ending is very good at the same time very disturbing. Cutos Thomas Harris, Cutos
PS DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE!!! Movie doesnt follow the book whatsoever...the movie butchers the book. (Got thrown out of the movie theater for yelling at the movie screen because of the injustice it did to the book.lol)
Great, even though I knew the ending, it threw me off when I actually read it. I loved the whole book, it really brought up the question "Who was the REAL monster?'
Great. Why make a movie which change this fantastic ending to a more Hollywood friendly one?
I LOVE Hannibal, both the book and the character. The action and romance are great, and character development is AMAZING!!!
My favourite T.H book, slightly longer than Red Dragon and Sotl but much, much better in my opinion. It's more subtle, darker and just generally more interesting to read.
Remarkable. This was a twisted tale that truely blurred the lines of fiction and reality. At times, it felt as if Harris were writing a news article, but that just made it all the more chilling. Hannibal Lector is a character for the ages who will leave your blood running cold.
This was one of my favorite books. I read it in one weekend with the lights on and doors locked. So scary. The movie stunk, I couldn't wait to see it, and it was so lame.
The first book to actually take my breath away. Hannibal is disgusting and disturbing, quite repugnant in fact; not for the faint-hearted. Yet somehow it manages to be a quite beautiful book, as if it took every second of the years since "Silence of the Lambs" came out to make it just perfect, and it almost is. Never has evil been so elegant.
I was disappointed with the movie...as usual, books can provide such a deeper glimpse than a movie can..... I am re read the book after seeing the movie, just to remind myself how good it was!
This is a must-read for fans of The Silence of the Lambs (book or movie). It is better than the movie with a MUCH better ending!
