Here I Stand: A Life of Martin Luther (Abingdon Classics)

Great read, easy read too, every evangelical Christian should read this book and be thankful for Martin Luther
I like the way he rescued women from a Roman Catholic nunnery and only married the last one because nobody else would. Named Katie, she lived a contrasting lifestyle to his full time preaching, she being wholistic perhaps with full time farming. I was surprised he was such a musician and wrote my favourite hymn. He also helped me understand how Abraham could morally attempt to sacrifice his son - like Jesus on the cross he could trust God to conquer death!
Great biography of an amazing individual. I found especially interesting the parts on his struggles with faith.
Very good. Not nearly as academic as I thought it would be. Very readable and thorougly enjoyable presentation of a great Christian.
Small book, small words and long chapters chalked full of information on the man who is to credit for the reformed church of today. A very good book to learn church history.
The most readable and enjoyable book on Martin Luther that I have come across.
