Facebook User about 1 year agoright now my favorite book is "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts. The author tells about his years spent in India after escaping prison. the book is so beautifully and vividly written. it covers so many things i wouldn't even know where to begin to summarize the book without giving something away. the way he writes about India and its people is breathtaking. the book is 900+ pages and is so worth reading.
Mika Markova about 1 year agoThat is an excellent list you have there, I've read and enjoyed most of them. For me Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace reigns supreme, followed by The Debt to Pleasure by John Lanchester and Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer. Fourth on my list is The True History of the Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. One can also read anything by Margaret Atwood, Joyce Carol Oates and Khaled Hosseini.
Marie Theron about 1 year agoI would definitely recommend "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by the same author, it is better than "The Kite Runner"...

so many great books, hard to choose, but definately the time travellers wife, atonement, running with scissors (by Augusten Burroughs), and maybe top of the list A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving. Though nearly all of his books are fab.
