This felt a little like a short story idea that had been extended without suitable padding of sideplots and backstories to really warrant the extra length. It was reasonably enjoyable and had some interesting ideas going on but you can't help but feel the author is capable of something much more with the material.
I thought the book was just okay, until the last chapter when it all fell together for me. I would almost need to re-read it now.
this is a great book. Especially if you know anything about new england. And the fact that is is free makes it even better.
