This is my favorite Steven King book. It is not scary or incredibly gruesome, but still beak and dark. 100 young men start the walk in the hopes of winning all that their hearts desire.
Bleak, dark, incredibly powerful book that reminds me of works by Bdadbury and Matheson. Check this out...
This story was read to me around 12 years ago and it stays with me to this day. It is a picture of Reality TV gone just a little bit crazier than it already is.
This book has a great premise, the US becoming a military state, the ruthlessness of the people watching the boys on the Long Walk. The ending has you feeling a bit let down, but still worthy of a read.
Another great King book. It's much older, f'ed up, and makes you realize how good you have it in life.
I LOVED this book. I read it in a collection of the Bachman books and it was one of my favorites. Desperate, very active, and very strong.
just wouah!! my feet hurt with the characters during the whole reading, a brillant bachman, one more!
Sick, twisted, and leaves you with that creepy feeling way down inside. Just how a good king should leave you feeling.
i loved this book, its one of my all time favs. written well before the time of reality tv, it takes it to the next level.
Although this one isn't as scary as some of King's other books, it was still spine-chilling. The possibilities that come with this story, and it's written in a way that makes the reader feel as if a contest such as this one actually exists, or could exist.
