A great book. Challenges conceptions of race and perception by taking the reader through the experiences of the main character in a southern black college, northern factory, union, and socialist movement. The main character becomes smarter and more aware page by page and that really carries over to the reader too.
quite dense but incredibly insightful. take your time and you won't regret it.
