I loved this -- it reads almost like a novel, and helped fill in some gaps in my knowledge of that period of American history.
Wow! this reminds me of Winston Churchill's bio, My Early Years. Also readers of this may wish to read The Alienist. It's fiction that includes TR. (Don't call him Teddy!)
Fantastic. Made me come to think very highly of Teddy Roosevelt, I still quote this book regularly years after reading.
