I loved the time travel twist, but this is a love story, not science fiction. The brief mention of genetic sequencing, and transgenic time-traveling mice gave me a little smile from my former life.
As far as the love story goes, the fact that it *isn't* a "boy meets girl, overcomes issues, and they live happily ever after" sort of story makes it feel more authentic to me. They stumble, fight, and suffer together, and through it all, their love shines through. Fantastic book - loved it and didn't want it to end. The end was quite bittersweet
twisted and amazing. romantic and sad. one to boast about on your bookshelf...
Loved it! I actually read this book from beginning to end, in that order. I normally skip to the last chapter to find out what happened, then skim the stuff in the middle.
