The A.B.C. Murders: A Hercule Poirot Mystery
Alice Ascher, a shopkeeper in Andover, is bludgeoned to death at her place of work. Next to die is Miss Bernard in Bexhill, then Mr. Clarke in Churston. More disturbing than the alphabetic sequence of the killings or the ABC Railway guide that the killer leaves at the scene of each crime are the taunting notes Hercule Poirot receives each time the killer is about to strike again. It is one of Poirot’s most challenging cases yet.

Good, but not among the best of Agatha Christie. The plot is interesting, but the resolutions was a little bit forced in. It mades really evident that the author had the murderer in mind before anything, and then she had to built a plot around it. I know that is probably the way to do it, but I guess it shouldn't be perceived. The ending is surprising, though, and suspense is high: I read the whole book in just ONE day. (show less)

This book was an excellent read. It has suspense the whole way through. It is the type of book that you can not put down until you have finished it. I loved it!

A classic and the motive has been used again and again since in fiction and in real life. Twisits and turns and confuses the reader as it goes along.
