Fun to read, I really love Loe's style of writing. It is easy to keep up with and understand, yet it doesn't underestimate you as a reader. What I really liked about L was that I know for certain that some of the things in the book have happened, yet you can't be entirely sure about some events.

Even though nothing actually happens in the book after the first part, it keeps offering you thoughts, ideas and allows you to be part of the expedition. You burn your skin, watch a movie without actually doing it, drink coconuts and just have a jolly good time with the fellows.

All I can say is: rent a squirrel and read this book. (show less)

No, it's a flop!

Still love Loe's style and sense of humour but I did get rather fed up with Erlend (the fictive person in L) and think Loe's style is better suited for shorter, more condensed novels. However, it is worth holding out for the last 100 pages where the boys are conducting societal experiments with different political system - definately the funniest part of L! (show less)

Underholdende, lettlest.
