I bought this book seven years ago at the suggestion of my pastor at the time. I just read it for the first time and am kicking myself for waiting so long. This book has opened up my eyes to several things about my leadership style that need work. The first and last two chapters are the best. I have already shared this with a friend with another waiting for his turn. I have told everyone I know about it, and I may just break down and buy and extra copy cause yes, it was that good. John does a great job of showing me what I an doing wrong, but at the same time painting the picture of why I want to begin to do them right. He has given me a new respect for the people that work with me. Develop people, and you will develop yourself! (show less)

Such a great book! was my second time to read it; however it stood as fresh as it did the first time. A very encouraging, inspiring, and practical book.

Not only does it have some 'ideal' thoughts of how a leader/person of influence should and can be, but also gets to down-to-earth tips, ideas, and examples of and from great leaders, presidents, celebrities and people of influence.

Read it with your company, group, project, or ministry in mind. Take notes to apply right away in real life. The content is too much to remember if you're just reading. Think it through, digest it, and try to apply it right away and experience the difference.

If you are already in a leadership position, or if you really want to be a person of influence, you can't afford not reading this book.

A highly recommended book! Read it now and you won't regret it :) (show less)

This is a great book to put into the hand of a person that has just been given leadership responsibilities. But, really any leader will benefit from it. (show less)
