Getting only a 3rd or so of Midnight Sun, now, just makes my essence scream for closure ... yeah, I could have refrained from reading what she gave... (show more)

Further proof that Edward was a creeper all along. Really, ladies, he greased up Bella's bedroom window so he could sneak in easier and watch her sleep. Why no one finds anything the least bit wrong with that is anyone's guess. It's definitely something that would freak me out, regardless of how attractive this stalker is.
Either way, I'm pretty sure I knew all this before. After all, it's just Twilight all over again. I would understand if she wanted to do New Moon from Edward's perspective, since we didn't see him for three-quarters of the book, but writing from his perspective during a novel where he was there for the vast majority of it? She's just trying to sell the same book again and regain the fans that left her after Breaking Dawn. If she wanted this to happen, she was probably better of just splitting between Bella and Edward's narrative during Twilight to begin with. (show less)

I was so grateful to SM for posting the draft on her sight. If she does decide to never publish it, at least I got a deeper perspective to Edwards thoughts. I started to get teary eyed when he began to compose the song for Bella and seeing that he was so lost before he had met her. I was able to grasp a better understanding as to why he was so harsh on Bella, regarding them being together.
I loved getting to know the Cullens more as well. Alice is the most adorably character, and this view ... (show more)

I loved getting to know the Cullens more as well. Alice is the most adorably character, and this view made you really see who she is and why she was the supportive one for Edward.
I can only hope that SM will publish Midnight Sun so that I can see what Edward was thinking in the meadow. Through this draft you get to see how Edward truly loved Bella.
Read it! You wont regret it......... (show less)

Wow...264 pages of Edward's POV that has no publishing date as of yet? I don't know if it's more frustrating to have to wait an untold amount of time for pages 265 and beyond or to have known about the first 264 pages being available and not reading them. Regardless....wow. I really liked Edward's POV more than Bella's and I do have to admit to little feelings of victory when something that Edward thinks/says in Midnight Sun adds so much more to the story in Twilight (like what ended up ha... Regardless....wow. I really liked Edward's POV more than Bella's and I do have to admit to little feelings of victory when something that Edward thinks/says in Midnight Sun adds so much more to the story in Twilight (like what ended up happening to the guy harassing Bella in Port Angeles, how Angela and Ben really ended up together, and how Edward knew it was okay to take Bella to the sunny meadow). I loved getting to know Emmett more than I ever thought possible (I never got the impression that he and Edward were close as brothers) and I also didn't think it was possible to love Alice even more than I did when reading the series. Can't wait for this to be published. (show less)

After reading the draft of Midnight Sun on Stephenie Meyer's website, I am absolutely desperate for her to finish it. Reading the story from Edward's perspective has given me a whole new appreciation for the Twilight Saga. I am hoping she will finish/publish it soon and continue on to write the other books from Edward's POV. I am dying to read his version of New Moon to hear about how he spent their separation.

I loved this draft. Absolutely loved it. I'm so glad that she's going to finish it, and I heard there'll be more too... I think she said it on Oprah? She's just all vampired-out for now so she's waiting to finish those. I really think it would be great if she did all four too. The Bella series and the Edward series.

Please, Stephenie. Please, for all of your Twilight-crazed fans, finish this manuscript. It would be great to read after Breaking Dawn comes out in the theaters. It would be great to have all four books in Edward's perspective.

I read this a while back on my computer at work. I CANNOT WAIT for it to be released! It was so great to know what was going through Edwards mind in the 1st book. You could tell you had read it when I attended the premiere of the Twilight movie; those people were the ones cracking up at Rob's facial expressions because they knew what he was thinking. It was hilarious!!! Thank you Stephanie Meyer & please keep the words flowing, we can't get enough <3

I have NO desire to read this, even once it is published, and I definitely agree with Justin Rydall's 'No, It's a Flop' review. Why does NO ONE other than the 2 of us find Edward and his behavior creepy and wrong?? I have never understood the complete and utter obsession with beauty that causes people to overlook HUGE character flaws! My opinion of a person, especially an 'eligible male' is always EXTREMELY affected by the person's actions and personality! Obviously, I'm a 'Team Jacob' fan, even though Jacob is in no way perfect and has his own flaws. But at least Jacob has always maintained his humanity and doesn't put Bella up on a pedestal inside of a glass box. It worries me that many young, impressionable girls or even women who have little to no relationship experience foster unrealistic views of and unhealthy fascinations with dangerous, demeaning, patronizing, and overprotective misogynists like Edward because of his portrayal as "the ultimate boyfriend/right choice" in the Twilight series. Strange words coming from a Twilight fan? Not exactly. Ms. Meyer has great skill as a writer and a fantastic story to tell, even if I don't agree with her pairings and certain outcomes in the story. I was obviously hooked after reading Twilight, and honestly surprised when she actually proceeded to allow Bella and Edward to, ultimately, be together despite the skewed message it sends to girls & young women. I only continued to read through Eclipse because of Meyer's addictive writing style and narrative. Don't know if I'll ever get up the nerve to read Breaking Dawn, however.
